Thank You for who I AM

Oh Father, I thank You For You have granted me health when I did not earn it And You have given me wisdom when I did not possess it You have placed within me a mind that seeks, A heart that wonders, And a soul that longs to understand Your creation Oh Father, I thank You For You have revealed Yourself in beauty In the morning light and the quiet skies In the wonders that my eyes behold And in the glory that surrounds all things You have made I thank You for allowing me to breathe For every breath is a gift from Your hands I thank You for allowing me to see For every sight is a reminder of Your grace I thank You for the words You place upon my tongue For even when my voice trembles You give me the courage to speak And when my heart is heavy You bring comfort to my soul Oh Father, I thank You For You formed me according to Your design Every feature upon my face Every thought within my mind Every part of me was imagined before I knew myself I thank You for giving me ears to hear Even when I close them to Your voice You remain patient You remain gentle And You continue calling me back I thank You for these hands You have given me That I may build, hold, and serve I thank You for these feet You have given me That I may walk the paths You have prepared I thank You for my lungs that breathe For my heart that loves For my eyes that witness For my soul that lives Oh Father, I thank You for today For I have awakened beneath Your mercy And I have been given another day to become better And though troubles may rise before me Though I may stumble and fall Though I may not become the man I wish to be I thank You For You have not only given me blessings around me You have given me myself And all that I am Was first held within Your hands.
