In the beginning once more

In the beginning was the Word And the Word was with God And the Word was God And the Lord made man Man and woman He made them Adam and Eve He named them Formed by breath and held in grace But man reached and man fell The gift was broken, life grew thin Sin entered and death followed And the world learned how to ache Yet God did not turn away Love did not forget its own So the Word stepped down And took the shape of bone and breath The Word became flesh Born crying beneath the stars The Son of Man among men A child laid where hope could rest Jesus the second Adam Where the first reached and fell The second obeyed and healed And in Him Life began again
