Oh there stands a flower the wind calls beautiful today Oh there stands that same flower the wind still calls beautiful today And tomorrow the wind shall carry its petals somewhere no eye will stay Oh every hand praises the colour before learning its name Oh every hand praises the colour then forgets who it became Perhaps beauty was never meant to remain the same Oh the field never mourns another fallen stem Oh the field never counts another fallen stem For another flower quietly rises where once there had been them Oh I built my garden beside this endless land Oh I built my garden beside this endless land Not to own the flowers but to understand Oh perhaps I am no gardener after all Oh perhaps I am no gardener after all Only another flower hoping the wind forgets to call...
